The 5% fee is automatically deducted from the offer amount when you approve the work — you never pay anything separately on top. For example: you make an offer of $200 to a creator. If you approve their work, the platform deducts 5% ($10) from that amount, and the creator receives $190 net. When the creator goes to withdraw, they can see the full breakdown — the original offer, the 5% platform deduction, and their net payout. If you don’t approve, nothing is deducted.
You can request revisions from the creator at no charge. If the issue can’t be resolved, you can raise a dispute. In either case — revisions or dispute — you are not charged the 5% platform fee, and your payment in escrow is protected until the matter is resolved. You only ever pay the fee when you personally click Approve.
Collabstr’s publicly listed free plan charges a 10% marketplace fee per deal. Pyrafluence charges 5%. The key practical difference is how the fee works: Pyrafluence’s fee only fires when you approve the work. GRIN and Aspire (formerly AspireIQ) both use custom, quote-based pricing with no public tiers. The calculator includes them using the best available estimates: GRIN figures are based on Vendr anonymised contract data showing starter deployments typically cost $25,000–$50,000/year on annual contracts — significantly more than the $399/mo figure you may see cited elsewhere, which does not reflect real contract values. GRIN also charges additional transaction fees on top of the subscription for payment processing. Aspire's ~$2,299/mo is an estimated starting figure from publicly cited sources. Both are clearly labelled as estimates. Contact each platform's sales team directly for an accurate quote.
